We have all heard “A good reputation takes years to build and minutes to ruin”. Or, “A man is only as good as his word”. And, “Actions speak louder than words”. These are all part of developing a good character. In the social media community it is the same as on the street.

Here are 5 simple guidelines for appropriate social media behavior to maintain a respectable reputation among the internet community.

  1. The social media community holds high regard for honesty, so transparency is extremely important when identifying yourself and or your community.
  2. When posting a status update or comment do NOT spam or be offensive.
  3. When offering advise remember to stick to your area of expertise. Also, be able to substantiate any factual claims.
  4. If you need to disagree with another’s opinion, always be polite and appropriate. Stay in control emotionally so as not to seem defensive.
  5. Be very careful to protect private and confidential information about yourself and business. Remember, once you’ve published or submitted something on the internet, you will be widely accessible for a very long time!

So, a simple way to build and maintain a good reputation is to always remember and follow these words: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

As one has the capability of creating their own business website, complete with audio and video, when it comes to how much money one can make in the process, basically the sky is the limit. Although, the more individuals one can sign under them, the more money one is going to make over time. Therefore, it is good to network and socialize with as many people as possible who are truly interested because the more individuals one can sign, the more money both the business owner and the individual can make in the process.

Hello fellow marketers, do you have successful relationship building skills? As you know we’ve been seeing tons of articles and videos on relationship building… and I find this to be wonderful. At the end of the day, the more relationships we’ve created can affect not only our personal well being but our networking businesses as well.

Now here is the kicker, I find that many people are not putting this #1 practice in to play correctly. How can you build a relationship correctly? I’m sure we all have your own ways, but I have to tell you that building a true successful relationship is not going around your local book store saying “ Hi, my name JOE… I have this wonderful business opportunity for you to look at..”, or running around social media sites adding tons of friends and all the people on your friends friend list.

Building a Successful relationship is about creating a long lasting friendship between you and another individual. It isn’t about what you can get out of that person. You should be on a hunt to provide value and an ear to listen to their struggles to see if you can assist them in some way. Like I said a minute ago, long lasting friendships.. Communicate with one another, stay in touch and you never know what kind of business partner you may have in the future.

I see so many people come and go when you say NO to their next “Million Dollar” Adventure. People you are leaving behind wonderful individuals that could be very beneficial to you and your business at some point in your life.

So with this being said, here is a few things that I highly recommend doing to create those successful relationships:

  1. Go into the conversation with an open-mind

TEAMWORK- Are You A Part Of A Successful Team?

After a few years of being in Network Marketing, I realized how important it is to be a part of a successful team and have what I call TeamWork going on. I know many of you can relate when I say you join a opportunity and get all excited but then you have no where to turn because all the sudden your sponsor or your upline is gone with the wind. Right? Or maybe they are there and have told you everything they know, and helped coach you through the basics of what they did and still you feel like you are standing alone. Why? Because you are you and different things work for different people. I realize now that having that support team outside of your opportunity to help share different ideas and strategies with is a must have for success.

You see in my opinion, you have to reach out and find a group of people who are all putting their heads together and not only building strong relationships but also providing value for the entire group-this is what I call TEAMWORK!! It is funny to me, because so often I hear people say well I joined this group of marketers or that group and still got nowhere. But they are doing this and making all this money etc. Well are they truly providing the value to the whole team or are there certain individuals who only share with other certain people because they benefit in some way other than TEAMWORK?

You would be wise to do your due diligence and find that True Team that is going to benefit you without looking for something in return other than your bright ideas.

Here are a few things that I Personally looked for when looking for my home and found what has came to be the best group of individuals for what I personally was looking for:

  • The Integrity of the Team
  • The Teams Mission
  • The Strength of the Team
  • The Accountability of the Members of the Team

So with those few things to think about while you are out here searching for a home to help you succeed with your business, do your research is what it boils down to.

~~Don’t get me wrong, just because there is a Team providing great value, at the end of the day it all lays in your hands to put the value into action and create the results you are looking for.

One of the keys to being consistently productive and effectively running a business is organization and the ability to schedule time properly if you want to have MLM Success. We all like to think of ourselves as organized, but in reality, is this the truth?

Have you ever found that in spite of your best intentions, you just couldn’t accomplish everything you set out to do in a given day or week? Is it because you’re trying to cram too many things into your days and weeks, or is it because you just need to work on your organization and time management skills? Do you find that you plan a schedule, and then get distracted with so many other things that you can’t finish your work?

Regardless of the reason, it’s vital to get organized! You’re not going to experience MLM success until you can get your time organized. Once you manage this, you will be able to see what areas you need help in and which areas you can maximize.

Even though some of us think that having to be organized stifles creativity, it really makes it much easier to be creative – you’re freer to create the business and life you want (sounds like fun when I put it that way, doesn’t it?).

So let’s talk about time scheduling. First you need some tools. They don’t have to be elaborate or fancy, so don’t worry. You need a calendar (one with space to write things down) and a diary or journal. Once you have the tools you’ll use, you need to commit yourself to truly making use of them. This is how you’re going to begin to get organized and then stay organized and create MLM success.

The first key step to learning to properly schedule your time is to see how you’re using your time right now. This is where you will use your diary or journal. For a week, don’t change your schedule. Just keep very close track of what you do with your time. Record what you’re doing in some detail, how you’re feeling (tired, restless, alert, etc), and write down the time you start each new activity – even if it’s just taking a few minutes to chat on the phone with a friend.

After one week, look at your journal. What can you learn from it? That you are spending a lot of time chatting or day dreaming? Maybe you’re spending a lot of time doing things that should be eliminated from your workday. You might be surprised to see how much time you spend on Facebook or checking email.

Look closely to find areas where there is waste. You don’t have to check your email ten times a day! You can easily reduce that amount to three times. And you don’t have to answer every phone call that comes in – in fact, if you’re working, you should eliminate the distraction of the phone – that’s what voice mail is for. Schedule time each day to return calls – and then limit the amount of time you’re on each call if you can!

Next, look at the work tasks that you need to accomplish each day and throughout the week. Make sure to include time for emails and communicating with downline members and potential recruits, along with social networking, marketing activities, etc. Keep in mind that you also need to have time for your personal life, and your “day” job, if you’re still working outside of the home. Oh, and don’t forget that you have to sleep at some point!

The main point is to create to-do lists and prioritize them. Certain things will have to take place at certain times. They can fit into your schedule without any more analysis if you’ve deemed them necessary. Now look at what is left. Remember~Large tasks can be broken down into smaller ones – this will help you keep from getting overwhelmed.

So its time to schedule your work time, yes this is were it gets interesting! In the first key step, you made notes in your journal of what times of the day you were feeling more alert and energized. Schedule these times first to fit those tasks that may require a little more work. Another thing you can do is make some adjustments to your dietary habits to create more energy during those times of the day that you noted in your journal that you were feeling less energized.

As you start building your schedule, keep the following in mind:

  • Stay realistic – you only have so much time each day.
  • Make sure the things that you absolutely must do are scheduled and that you’ve left enough time to complete them.
  • Don’t over-commit yourself.
  • Remember to expect the unexpected – leave some contingency time in your schedule for surprises.

OK so now that you’ve built your schedule, do two things: remember that a schedule is fluid – it’s going to move and change, and remember that you can always go back to basics if you need to – it won’t hurt to use your diary to track your habits occasionally to make sure you’re staying organized and experiencing the MLM Success you are working so hard to achieve.
